First Day of Fall Football Practice

Lynn Haven, FL---Usually when fall football practice opens one of the concerns for coaches is the heat, and how it affects the players, and the danger is may pose.

Well no such problem in day one Monday for area coaches, thanks to all the wet weather and the cloud cover. Most teams getting in that first official practice early Monday morning.

That the case at Mosley, coach Perry Brown looking at some reduced numbers if you will over there.

He usually carries 40 to 45 on the varsity level, he says just 35 players carrying over from the summer to the fall. Nonetheless, he and they are ready to go!

"I love it man, it's football season, it's time to get it on, and the kids are fired up and everybody's waiting to see some football." says coach Brown. "We've got some experience in key spots which is good, you know, our center, our quarterback. We've got a couple returners over there on defense you know. But we got a lot of holes to fill, we had ten graduate, ten starters off the defense last year. So that's probably our biggest concern.

By the time we made it over to Arnold, coach Hale and his guys had moved it inside to the gym to finish their workout today. We'll visit more with Hale, talk about his Marlins Tuesday night at 6.
