Tallahassee, FL---The Florida State Seminoles are just about set to begin spring drills, in fact they open Wednesday. As Jimbo Fisher puts it, he's rather excited about the start of spring, as he looks forward to seeing how his "kids' are maturing.
"It's just very fun for me to watch spring football because you start to see, it's like watching, the beginning of your kids growing up. And when you're a parent and you start to see them developing their own personality. You start to see them evolve in spring and hopefully they maintain through the summer and the fall, the ones you want to keep, and you change the other ones that you want to fix."
And some of Jimbo's "older children" if you will, becoming men in the sense they think they're ready to move on to the NFL. Tuesday FSU hosting it's pro day for NFL coaches and scouts, some 30 former Seminoles working out including running back Chris Thompson who participated despite still recovering from ACL surgery in October.
Bjoern Werner and EJ Manuel among the other players working out at Doak Tuesday hoping to perhaps improve their draft status.
