Fisher Talks About Hosting Savannah State

Tallahassee, FL-Florida State is getting set to tee it up in week two of the season, and what will be, quite frankly, another lopsided win for the Seminoles.

Jimbo and company coming off the 69-3 undressing of Murray State, and heading into another game against a Football Championship Subdivision game, Savannah State.

That a team that got drilled by Oklahoma State last Saturday 84-nothing.

So again, expect this one to get out of hand early, and allow Jimbo the chance to get a lot of players some time on the field.

"Well I don't know, and I don't mean this...I hope we get it out of hand quickly.' coach Fisher says. "I mean I hope we can do the things we have to do. We have to compete against ourselves and play. We can't worry about the opponent, we can't worry about anything. We have to execute the plays that are called. We have to have emotion in the game, with passion and do the things we're coached to do. We don't ever want to embarrass anybody or anything of that nature. You know we'll run our plays, very simply much like we did at the end of that game."

It's worth noting the Seminoles wound up having to schedule Savannah State only after West Virginia pulled out of it's contract to play in Tallahassee. So don't fault Fisher for playing two gimmes to start the season. Game time at Doak Saturday set for 6 eastern.
