Flair Leads Commodores To Diamond Win Monday

Panama City, FL---The Gulf Coast Commodores have now won five straight Panhandle Conference games, with that 5th win coming Monday at home against Northwest Florida, the final 9-5.

Gulf Coast scored first on a Nick Flair rbi single in the bottom of the first. Flair later gave his team a 4-1 lead with a three run homer in the bottom of the third. The Commodores eventually building an 8-1 early lead, and able to stave off a Raiders rally later in the game.

Flair finishing the day 3-5 with the homer and 4 rbi. Dalton Kelley was 3-3 with 3 runs batted in.

Gulf Coast taking it's overall record to 29-8, 6-2 in conference play.
That leaves them tied atop the league standings with Chipola which ran it's overall record to 27-7, and 6-2 with a 7-0 win over visiting Pensacola Monday night.

With the loss at Frazier Field, Northwest Florida falls to 22-11, 4-4 in conference, which is two games behind the two leaders.
