Florida Rematches With South Carolina at CWS

OMAHA- For one college baseball team the dream is about to be realized. For the other 7 teams at the college baseball world series in Omaha Nebraska the season will end with a loss.

The 80's cult classic Highlander said it best, there can be only one.

The Florida Gators want to be the last team standing, and last year they came close.

The Gators made it to the Series final, losing in two straight to South Carolina. At 47-18 they are headed to Omaha for the third straight year.

Florida will open the world series Saturday with the Gamecocks who are 45-17. These two met 4 times this season, the Gators winning three of those four meetings.

Florida pitcher Greg Larson said, "Yeah that definitely boosted our confidence a little bit, you know beating them in the SEC tournament, and taking two out of three in Columbia. But that doesn't mean anything in Omaha, it's just one game. And you know you just kind of look forward to that one game. I don't think us beating them three out of four really means anything to them. They're looking forward to Saturday night and we are too."

FSU is also in Omaha and would love to finally win its first national title. They've been to Omaha 21 times without the trophy. The Seminoles open with Arizona tonight at 8 central, that Florida-South Carolina game is Saturday at 4 central.
