Former Tennessee and USC Coach Kiffin Joining Saban Staff

Tuscaloosa, AL-- Get used to it Tide fans, Lane Kiffin is now one of yours!

Reports say coach Saban has hired Kiffin as 'bama's offensive coordinator. He replaces Doug Nussmeier who left yesterday for Michigan.

Kiffin fired during the year as UCS's head coach. Was 28-15 in three plus seasons there. He was 7-6 at Tennessee in one season there in 2009.

Lane fired up fans all over the place with his arrogance and mouth. Now he's back in the SEC, set to run the offense and call the plays for Saban and the Tide.

Kiffin spent six seasons (2001-06) at USC under Pete Carroll as an assistant, including the final two as offensive coordinator. He also called plays during his time as a head coach. He spent one season at Tennessee (2009), and went 7-6 before leaving to replace Carroll.

Kiffin spent a week in Tuscaloosa, Ala., last month exchanging ideas with coach Nick Saban and his staff and observing Alabama's offense.
