Panama City, FL---The Gulf Coast baseball team is off to a 9-3 start, with win number 9 coming Thursday night at Frazier Field. The Commodores beating Shelton State 5-2 behind a strong effort by starter Matt Foster.
He pitched 7 innings of 4 hit baseball, giving up just one unearned run. His offense meanwhile providing 5 runs, C.J. Butts a sacrifice fly to right plating the first run in the 4th, Nick Flair an rbi single in the 5th.
Ryan Coziol came on to get the final 3 outs and the save for Gulf Coast, who will host doublheaders Friday and Saturday, with 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. games each day.
