Lynn Haven, FL---Though it's rather cold and it sure doesn't feel like baseball season is about to start, that is the case for area juco and high school teams.
Some high school senior players in the area will be taking advantage of the early signing period, and such the case this afternoon at Mosley.
Four Dolphins signing binding scholarship offers. Those four, pitcher Andrew Deramo, 15-1 the last two seasons, signed today with Northwest Florida State.
Bowen McGuffin, a career 391 hitter, will stay close to home as he signs with Gulf Coast.
And two players are moving north to play for Alabama Southern, those two Brady Bell, who hit 479 last year with 27 rbi, and Connor Green, who hit 368 with 17 rbi last year. These four have helped Mosley post a 70-13 record the last three years and made it all the way to the state title game last year.
So now these four have some security in terms of their futures, and that should allow them to focus more on their senior seasons which begin in the next few weeks.
