To say the least it's a very big week ahead for this area, with several key district matchups on tap, including Niceville-Mosley, Bay Washington, Arnold Choctaw, and down on the 1-A level, a rather big matchup between Freeport and South Walton. Let's focus on that latter matchup, and specifically on the Freeport Bulldogs. They're coming off a 25-14 win over Vernon Friday, the offense putting up the points, the defense holding a good Vernon attack to two scores.
So the Bulldogs are 3-1 overall, but more importantly three and oh in 1-A district one play as they prep for the county rivalry with the Seahawks.

Jim Anderson
Freeport Head Coach

"Well we're really happy with what our guys have done, we've won three in a row. You know we took a real kick in their by Milton to open the season in our first game but you know that happened to us last year. You know having all these new guys and so many new starters, some of the guys have never even played football before, we're really proud of 'em and to be three and oh in the district, we're really happy about that."

Anderson believes this series with South Walton has become their biggest rivalry, since there is so much familiarity with the kids on the two teams. That game Friday at South Walton, a 7 o'clock start.
