Freeport, FL-- To the prep level now and a visit over to Freeport, as coach Anderson and his Bulldogs get set for a trip east over to Blountstown. The Bulldogs coming a 26 point home win over South Walton this past Friday. That coupled with the opening week loss at Fort Walton Beach leaves Freeport 1-1, and with a team Anderson believes is showing steady signs of improvement, since even before the regular season began.
Freeport Head Coach
"We did get to play in an official's training scrimmage back on August 20th and of course we had our kickoff classic on the 26th. So a lot of those games, those games were kind of a like a first game. So I think we've improved every week. But if we don't keep improving we may have won our only game of the year. You know our guys had really good effort and intensity. We rarely are a big play team and we were able to have 4 touchdowns of over 70 yards so that's rare for us, we're happy to make some big plays. You know our guys played the full 48, they played really hard."
The Bulldogs in that 4 team 1-A district one, the first of their three district games doesn't come until early October.
