Freeport prepares to open the postseason with a home game Friday against Liberty.

Freeport, FL-- We start again by looking ahead to round one of the state football playoffs. So far we've heard from the Blountstown and Liberty camps, this time we focus in on the Freeport Bulldogs, who will host the Liberty Bulldogs Friday night in the 1-A region quarterfinals. Freeport the champs of District two, with an overall record of 8-2, a perfect 8-0 in league play.

Jim Anderson
Freeport Head Coach

"Well you know they've really come through for us. We had to replace so many guys, really about 9 guys on offense, and number one, our quarterback, a three year starter. So that's not easy to do. The guys have really stepped up and they've really done everything we've asked them to do, and they've played really hard and they've practiced hard. They're very coachable, they've played to the highest of their ability, they don't hold anything back. You know you always see some teams out there, you feel like there are some guys who aren't doing as well as they could. Our guys I really feel are doing as well as they can. They're doing everything we ask them to do and we're really, really proud of 'em."

Freeport and Liberty did not play each other earlier this season, but they are rather familiar with each other, we'll talk more about that at ten.
