Gainesville, FL---It's the start of a new season, a season Will Muschamp hopes will be vastly different than the last one.
Muschamp and his Gators are coming off a miserable 2013 season, just 4-8 with losses to rivals FSU and Georgia.
Certainly much of the focus in the early part of camp for the Gators will be on offense. Jeff Driskel, now a junior, returns at quarterback. He sat out much of last season with a knee injury.
Driskel working under a new offensive coordinator in Kurt Roper who came south from Duke.
One big change in Gator camp this August, the move to early morning practices, and the elimination of midday practices. In fact it was dark when practice began Monday morning.
All things considered, coach Muschamp believes this year will be different, and this is why, he told reporters, he believes that.
"Well from their work ethic, their buy-in. We always talk in terms of you're either renting it or you're owning it. You take ownership in your team and I see a lot of that. I think we've improved our offensive roster tremendously, at the receiver position, at running back. I think Jeff's gonna have a really good year."
Florida opens the season at home against Idaho August 30th.
