Gene Chizik talks about one his priorities going into Wednesday's start of Fall practice, finding a new starting quarterback.

Auburn, AL--To college football now and believe it or not, the defending SEC and National Champion Auburn Tigers are set to hit the field Wednesday for the start of Fall practice. Priority number one for coach Chizik and his staff, zero in on the replacement for Heisman winner Cam Newton at quarterback. The competion will be between junior Barrett Trotter, sophomore Clint Moseley and heralded incoming freshman Kiehl Frazier!

Gene Chizik
Auburn Head Coach

"Well I haven't seen Kiehl Frazier throw a pass yet so if we played tomorrow, it probably wouldn't be him. But the two quarterbacks that we have, Barrett Trotter, Clint Moseley, they're in great competion. They've done everything we've asked them to do. I'm really proud of both of 'em, they both bring a lot to the table. We'll see what Kiehl does when he throws his first pass at Auburn. And again we're gonna accept all comers."

Chizik and the Tigers open the season in just over a month, September 3rd at home against Utah State.
