Panama City Beach, FL---Dads and families celebrated Father's Day out at the ballpark, as Sunday wrapped Grand Slam's Battle at the Beach Baseball Blast. What better way to thank pops for having catches in the backyard and teaching you how to swing a bat by taking home a championship?!
Two local squads fought for the 12 year old prize, the Bay County Heat and the Panama City Beach Bashers. In a close game between two rivals, the Bashers go on to win 4-1. The Heat take home 2nd place, hoping for revenge when these two could potentially meet again in this months World Series. The Bashers are carrying a 24 game win streak now, and the Battle at the Beach trophy.
As for the 13 year old Bashers, they advanced to the finals run-rulling the Panhandle Indians 19-8, then taking down the Panhandle Stingers 7-6.
