Bristol, FL-- On to the prep level and an interesting matchup taking place Friday night to the east in Bristol. Coach Grant Grantham and his Liberty Bulldogs, coming off a convincing opening win over Graceville last Friday, hosts Bay Friday night.
The Bulldogs a 1-A team, the Tornadoes are 5-A so it's a significant step up in class for the Bulldogs who are hoping this kind of game will help them later in the season.

Grant Grantham
Liberty Head Coach
"Well hopefully it prepares us for things we wouldn't see on a week to week basis. They basically run two offenses, they run a shotgun and the I and speed everywhere. You know West Gadsden's gonna have speed, Franklin County's gonna have some speed in our district, Blountstown has speed, Port St. Joe always has speed. I think the speed of the game will help our kids get ready for later on."

Despite the size difference, the Tornadoes better not take Liberty for granted, because, led by junior Alex Marlowe, number 5 here, these dogs can run!

"Alex is a good football player, everybody knows that. That's what we expected to be honest with you. It doesn't matter if he's at quarterback or tailback it doesn't really matter to us, he's gonna play well. We have five running backs with over 60 yards last week, we kind of do what we do, everybody's gonna touch the ball a little bit and do some things."

Bay coming off the opening loss last week to Jefferson, we'll hear from the Tornadoes camp tonight at ten.
