Gulf Coast Gets First Panhandle Victory

Panama City, FL --- Basketball fans were in for a treat at Gulf Coast Saturday night. Double the action, double the fun as both the men and women took the court, each looking for their first win of the young conference season.

The men tipped in the second game, as both teams were taking on Tallahasse Community College.

Gulf Coast down two early in the first half until Anton Waters gets the rebound and the second chance bucket to tie it up.

And that starts a run, continued by Rutherford alum Jon Wade good from three to go up three.

On the fastbreak, pushed ahead to Waters again, who gets the layup in traffic, making it look so easy.

The run continues as Basil Deveaux gets his own bucket in transition. GC on a 10-0 run so TCC takes a timeout.

Then the Eagles go on a run highlighted by Cameron Naylor's filthy one hand flush. That gave the visitors a five point lead.

But Gulf Coast keeps cool, comes back, and moves to 1-1 in Panhandle play, winning 80-72.
