Panama City, FL---The search for Gulf Coast softball's new head coach has come to a close.
The new leader of the Lady Commodores program is set to be Beth Wade, a former Florida State Seminole and seven year assistant on the collegiate and Juco level.
After playing four years at FSU where she was a three-time Academic All-American and All-ACC in 2004, Wade began coaching.
She's made four stops, most recently at Troy University, where she's spent the last two years.
Wade inherits a squad that finished 26-31 last season and only 8-16 in conference.
She'll officially take over Wednesday July 16, pending board approval.
