Panama City, FL---It is a rather big game set for Saturday night at the Harrison Field House as Chipola and Gulf Coast get reacquainted.
The Indians come in having lost two of their first three league games, while Gulf Coast, after starting with a close loss to Northwest Florida, has rallied to win two straight on the road at Pensacola and Tallahassee. Jay Powell says that's left his guys feeling confident and the bye earlier this week has them rested.
"Both good wins, we played with confidence and unity and we were tough in both games. Now we've been able to heal up the last couple of days, get in some good practices in order to get ready for the big game Saturday night at home against Chipola."
The Indians at 1-2 in conference play in the rare spot of having a little extra pressure on them early in league play, if they lose Saturday night, Gulf Coast will have a two game lead for second place heading into a second round of Panhandle play. The women tip at 5:30, the men at 7:30.
