PANAMA CITY, Fla- All the area JUCO teams are working through the first full week of Fall practice. That includes Jay Powell and the Gulf Coast Commodores. The team is made up of 6 sophomores and 6 freshmen, some of them are new to the program. So, coach Powell has a total of 8 new faces for Powell to work with.
"I have four transfers, from division one schools. It's nice to have those men because they have been through the fire a little bit, they've conditioned and trained at the division one level." Coach Powell said. "I expect all of those players to be a part of our 8 man, possibly 9 man rotation.
The Commodores 18-11 last year, with a 5-7 conference mark, their regular season opener comes November 5th up in South Carolina.
