Gulf Coast and Northwest Florida State lose in Softball State tournament

PENSACOLA, Fla- The Juco softball continued in Pensacola Saturday, and Gulf Coast and Northwest Florida State were the last two area teams left after Chipola was ousted after two 1 run losses Friday.

The Lady Dores and Lady Raiders were both in the loser's brackets and elimination games at 10 Saturday morning. For the Lady Commodores it was not good news as they were on the wrong end of a 12-7 score. They are done for the season with 1 win and two losses in the state tournament.

Lady Raiders on the other hand came up big against State College tp win 6-0 to move into another elimination game at 4 Saturday afternoon.

That win set up the game against Polk State for a chance to continue playing. Polk State got a huge inning with 5 runs including a 3 run bomb to open it up, and the Vikings go on to win 5-1. Northwest Florida State out of the tournament as well.
