Panama City, FL-- Call it the start of round two of Panhandle Conference play. Every league team has played every other league team at least once, now it's time for a second look.
For Northwest Florida State and Gulf Coast, that means a game Tuesday night on the latter's home floor. The Raiders won their first match up by34.
Since then, Northwest two wins and a loss, Gulf Coast meanwhile 3 straight wins, so they are tied at 3-1 going in to Tuesday's game.
Here's Jay Powell on the rematch.
"Tomorrow night we really have to be tougher than the first time we played them. We have to do a better job of finishing around the hoop, five, six, seven feet shots. Northwest Florida State's a very good defensive team and that played in to us not being very succesful around the basketball goal the last time we played them. So we gotta step up and do a better job there. And then in the second half we gotta do a better job of continuing to compete on the backboards and the rebounding."
The men's game set for 7:30 Tuesday night, the ladies tip at 5:30.
