Marianna, FL--We start with juco baseball and those old rivals Gulf Coast and Chipola. The Commodores starting the day at 5-10, some 5 and a half games behind 9-3 Chipola for second in the league. The Raiders atop the conference at 11-4. Suffice it to say, the Commodores with no margin for error heading into the final 9 games.
The the first of a three game set, Indians on the board with an early run and then it's Austin Southall doubling that lead with the solo shot, 2-0 Chipola. Bottom of the 3rd Kaleb Barlow also takes one out of the yard againist Nick Miller and the Indians led it 3 zip. Gulf Coast on the board in the 4th though with a Ratajczak triple and a Maddell rbi, Commodores then add 3 in the 6th, and one in the 7th for a comeback win, 5-4 the final. Perhaps they're playing spoiler, or perhaps it's the start of a late season run, either way, 'dores now trail Chipola by 4 and a half for second with 8 to play.
