Panama City, FL-- To juco ball and the Commodores trying to play their way out of an early season funk. A loss this morning to Shelton State left the 'dores at 5-6 heading into an evening game against Wallace of Dothan. Bay alum Corey Newsome on the hill for Wallace, and getting rough treatment from his hometown team, though his defense not helping driving in one run in a 7 run first for Gulf Coast.
Second inning, new pitcher same kind of results Grant Alvarez strokes the sharp single to left, another run comes home, three more in the second, Commodores get that split 11 zip in five, Nick Miller the win, 7 k's.
