Gulf Coast hosts Tallahassee in a conference softball doubleheader Tuesday.

Panama City, FL--The Gulf Coast softball squad able to host a conference doubleheader for the first time this season Tuesday. Tallahassee coming west for that, game one starting at four.
Natalie Walker on the hill for the home team, top of the first, Eagles get a runner to second with one out, bouncer to third, Coleman throws to Vogler, back to Strickland covering, that lead runner cut down.
Still scoreless into the second, Walker gets the called third strike, one of 7 strikeouts for her in the game.
Tally starter Emily Smethurst also pitching well, here she gets G-C leadoff hitter Emma Johansen for the second time.
Still scoreless into the bottom of the 4th, Gulf Coast gets a two out single by Renn, a walk and a passed ball, so it's second and third for Hilary Chapman, bouncer to the mound, Smethurt's throw dropped at
first, Renn scores, the only run of game one, as Walker tosses a 6 hit shutout. Gulf Coast then gets a run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th in the nightcap, thus they get the sweep, and take their overall record to 37-6, their conference record now 3-1.
