Gulf Coast looking for a win Thursday and the chance to end 2010 with a three game winning streak.

Panama City, FL--To the juco level and the second day of play of a little tourney at Gulf Coast. The Commodores opening last night with a win over Aiken. Thursday afternoon coach Powell and his guys hosting Chattahoochee Valley and looking to head into the New Year with a modest three game winning streak. Let's pick it up late in the first half, Commodores in the home white working inside, the first shot misses but Jordan Payton is there for the putback. Then it's into the corner for Travis Smith, the sophomore out of Charleston hits for three, Jay's team up at the half 35-33. Second half they work to build to the lead, first Nikko Acosta showing nice form on the jump shot, then a bit later, he works his way underneath, they feed it to him, he turns and scores off the glass. But Chattahoochee would come back and dominate the final ten minutes of this one, they hand the 'dores a 9 point loss 81-72. Gulf Coast falls to 10-8.
