Gulf Coast sweeps a pair from Pensacola on the softball diamond Thursday.

Panama City, FL-- Now to the softball diamond and a key doubleheader day for Northwest, Chipola and Gulf Coast.
We'll start with the latter, the Lady Commodores taking a 3-3 league mark on to the field against Pensacola. Natalie Walker the game one start and she gets a little help from Caitlan Ortiz to end the second, popup in foul ground, Ortiz the nice sliding catch.
Top of the third no defense needed here Walker with the strikeout on the high fastball. Bottom third, Lady Commodores add to a 1-0 lead, St. Joe alum Kayla Minger strokes the double to the wall in left center, Fort Walton's Hannah Renn around from first.
Micheala Hamilton then smokes one through the right side, Minger in, Gulf Coast on the the game one win 8-0, they finish out the sweep with a 4-3 win in the nightcap. Gulf Coast moves to 5-3 in league play, they're 2 games behind front running Northwest Florida State, and a game behind second place Chipola.
