Gulf Coast takes on Pensacola

PANAMA CITY, Fla- Starting the day five games in back of second, with just five to play, well the math was pretty simple for the Gulf Coast baseball squad. Any loss by the 'dores, or any Chipola win would officially eliminate Gulf Coast from State tourney competition.

Gulf Coast trying to win out and hope for a miracle, 'dores hosting Pensacola Wednesday night.

B3 Josh Jonas up to bat, and he hits the RBI double in the gap, and Erik Starace comes around for the 1-0 Dores lead.

Pirates answer in the Top of the fourth Dylan Siegel rips the liner and ties things up, they would add another in the inning...Pirates up 2-1.

Gulf Coast tied it with a sac fly in the 4th...But Pirates take the lead again here with the RBI Double by Blake Brown...3-2 Pirates

So in the bottom of the 5th Gulf Coast down 3-2, They have a chance to tie, but the D'Andre Toney shot to third base is scooped and Terrance Gore is thrown out at home.

Gulf Coast goes on to lose this one 4-2, so they're officially eliminated from Playoff contention.
