Hamlin wins in Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (AP) -- Polesitter Denny Hamlin passed Kevin Harvick for the lead with 29 laps to go and won his third consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway.
Both Hamlin and Harvick closed the gap on points leader Jimmie Johnson, who finished fifth. With four races remaining, Hamlin trails the four-time defending champion by just six points, with Harvick 62 off the pace after a third-place finish.
Non-contender Mark Martin took second place.
