Panama City Beach, FL---The hype and business of Texas A and M quarterback Johnny Manziel winning the Heisman has stretched even made to Panama City Beach.
Texas A and M's Marketing and Communications department paid fo billboards touting Manziel's Heisman throughout the southeast, including in Bay County.
Including the one pictured in the video attached, on Back Beach Road in PCB, some 6 billboards appeared Saturday night and Sunday in our area.
Claire Sherman at Lamar Advertising tells us the ad buy was made through the company's home office in Baton Rouge and ran just Saturday night and Sunday.
This ad blitz to capitalize on the exposure and in fact part of Manziel's acceptance speech in which he said "choosing Texas A and M was one of the best decisions of my life."
Baylor officials have estimated that Robert Griffin the third's Heisman win was worth $250 million to the school, including $14 million in media mentions in the month after the ceremony.
