Lynn Haven, FL----Mosley students and faculty got a rare treat Friday, the chance to skip that final class to take in some good basketball.
The Dolphins hosting UF commit Chris Walker and the Holmes Blue Devils. Both teams working to stay sharp for their respective district tournaments early next week.
Unfortunately for the home crowd, it was the Blue Devils walking away with the win 77-70, Holmes rallying from a late 12 point deficit.
Nat Dixon scored 36 in the losing effort, the Blue Devils got 16 from Chris Walker. The win taking Holmes record to 13-8. The Blue Devils will be the second seed in their district tournament next week at Jay.
The attached video shows the following:
A huge crowd on hand as you can see. They got to see Walker do his thing early on, the Devils in blue, working it inside to the big guy who makes the quick move and goes in for the dunk.
A bit later Holmes keeping it outside, Junior Miles in the corner for three, that's good.
Then they feed Walker again who goes baseline to lay in two more off the glass.
The Dolphins coming back, first it's Je'Quan Ward from the top of the key for the three point field goal.
Nat Dixon follows that up with a shot from just a few feet to the left, three more.
Then a bit later, scramble for the ball mid court, Dixon gets it, goes for the layup, gets his feet taken out from under him, but Miles preventing Nat from falling on his head....nice display of sportsmanship there.
