Holmes Star Walker Chosen for Jordan Brand Classic

Bonifay, FL---With his team looking ahead to hosting a state playoff game come Tuesday, Holmes star center Chris Walker's also making plans to head to the Big Apple in mid April.

The 6-9 Walker learning Tuesday he's been chosen to play in the Jordan Brand Classic, a prestigious high school all star game hosted by Nike and Michael Jordan. That game April 13th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where the Nets play.

Chris will play on the East squad alongside future Gator teammate Kasey Hill among others.

This the 12th year for the Jordan Brand game, which has seen the likes of Amare Stoudamire, Chris Paul and Kevin Durant playing in previous years.

Walker leading his team with 25 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocks a game, so he's almost averaging a triple double.

The 16-8 Blue Devils winning the 1A district two title beating rival Chipley last Saturday. So they're getting set to host Paxton Tuesday night in the region semifinals.

Sadly the Blue Devils practicing this week without head coach Po White, who's taking some time off following the death of his mother. Coach White will be back next week as the playoffs begin.
