Bonifay, FL--On the 2-A hoops level, our area now guaranteed to have a representative down at State in Lakeland, that's because Holmes and Port St. Joe both winning their region semi's Tuesday night, setting up a meeting between the two in St. Joe Saturday.
The Sharks beating West Gadsden 54-48, Holmes coming back from down 8 with 3 minutes to go, to beat a tough Cottondale squad 55-54. Today I talked about that latter game with Coach Poe.

Poe White
Holmes Head Coach

"The kids never gave up. They played hard, the played from start to finish. You can't ask for more from a group of kids, that just leaves everything out on the court. They played very hard, I'm very excited about it, it was a big win for us, and it goes to show you, never quit, keep fighting because you never know what's going to happen at the end."

So now the Blue Devils with playoff wins over Freeport and Cottondale. That has their record up to 24-4, combine that with St. Joe's mark of 23-6 and you have two teams with a combined mark of 47-10 going at it Saturday night. Two wins by the way, the most ever for Holmes in the postseason.
