Panama City, FL---Bay county is currently loaded with some of the top hoops talent and college coaches in the southeast.
Arnold, Rutherford, and Gulf Coast are hosting day four Saturday of the Gulf Beach Challenge, an AAU tournament run by Source Hoops.
Kids from 14-17 are trying to impress the Juco and Division one coaches on hand, including, Florida's Billy Donovan, who was at the Harrison Field House Saturday.
As for the Gulf Coast program that calls the gym home, they can recruit, and help their current Commodores get recruited.
"There is an opportunity to develop relationships at a deeper level than what I've had with coaches in the past," said Gulf Coast head coach Jay Powell. "Because there's just an extended amount of time to sit and speak. And just develop, just know each other a little better. And it's a two-way street. Without a doubt I want to help people as much as I can. And by all means, any help I can receive from coaches at the four year level with what we're trying to do here at Gulf Coast, we want that to happen also."
