"Hungry" Eagles Enjoying 4-0 Start to Season

Niceville, FL---Niceville is a football team that is proving week after week so far, that's it a legitimate title contender, not just in the district, but well beyond!

Coach Hicks team has been quite simply, a wrecking ball so far this season. The Eagles are 4-0, having beaten Rutherford, Pace, Pine Forest and most recently Choctaw, by a combined 199-30!

The Indians went into last Friday's game undefeated as well, and found themselves behind 42-3 by halftime. To say the least, the Eagles seem to be clicking on all cylinders, leaving even their head coach a bit surprised!

"Yeah I'm a little surprised at this kind of start." coach Hicks telling us Tuesday afternoon. "I thought we had the chance to be pretty good in some areas. I thought we'd be a little better defensively than we had been. You know offensively I thought we'd be pretty good but not quite as efficient as we've been. I think one thing, they're a little hungrier maybe than some of our other teams have been the last couple of years. We're coming off 6-5 seasons the last two years. It's not like we're coming off a 12-1 or 10-2 type season. So I think that's, they're a little more motivated."

This week coach Hicks and his guys getting set for a home game against a Greene County team out of Leakesville Mississippi. Hicks says that team is a defending state champ and just might be the toughest test for his Eagles so far this season.
