Indians Beat the Raiders 6-1, Within Half Game of Second Place

Niceville, FL---The Chipola Indians have closed the gap between themselves and Gulf Coast for second place in the Panhandle standings thanks to a 6-1 win over Northwest Florida Monday.

The Indians moving to 7-8 in conference play, 30-19 overall with that victory. That league record puts them half a game behind Gulf Coast, which has an 8-8 league mark, and is currently alone in second place in Conference.

Tallahassee has already clinched the Panhandle title and a berth in the state tournament. Gulf Coast and Chipola are battling for second place and the state berth that goes along with that.

Chipola hosts Northwest Florida Wednesday at 5, if the Indians win that game they will be tied with Gulf Coast, with each team having four games left, including two games head to head to end the regular season.
