Panama City, FL---There's nothing like the excitement of a good, old fashioned do-or-die ballgame. The high school baseball regular season ended days ago, but is ancient history.

Welcome to the district tournaments.

Arnold and Choctaw officially kicked off the road to state in the 5A-1 tourney over at Bay High.

The Marlins came in as the underdog, but looked to catch the Indians slipping early. In the first, Denver Dangerfield's RBI single to left gave Arnold the early advantage.

The game would then fall into the hands of the Indians. After turning two to end the Arnold half of the first, Chandler Emrick's single through the infield drove in two to give the three-seed the lead for the rest of the ballgame. They would add one more in the inning on a passed ball on a pickoff throw to first.

Choctaw goes on to put up five more runs while Arnold manages just two, as the Indians win 8-3. With the victory, Choctaw moves to 12-13 on the season and advances to face two-seed Rutherford at 4 PM Tuesday.

In the highlights attached above, the Indians throwing Tyler Megill but the six-seed Marlins get to him in the top of the first, Denver Dangerfield's RBI single puts Arnold up one, and looking for more.

But the Choctaw defense steps up, coming up with the six, four, three double play, but they're still down one.

Bottom of the inning, Bobby Courson gets two quick outs, but the Indians make a two out rally. Chandler Emrick's grounder gets past the infield, scoring two runs and giving Choctaw the lead.

They'd add one more in the first on a pickoff throw gone wrong,
