Fort Walton Beach, FL--Will this year the Choctaw. boy's soccer team breaks through with it's first State Championship? The Indians the lone area boy's team still playing for a state soccer title.

Since winning the district at Arnold ate last month, the Indians have won 3 straight, putting them into the 3-A state semifinals Friday night.

They host Land O' Lakes. You may remember last year Choctaw made it all the way to the state final match losing 3-2 to Cape Coral. That experience paying dividends again says coach Chris McDaniel.

"I think that's valuable big time. We have a few new freshman added to the group. And then we've got a lot of seniors who have already been through this so they know the routine, they know what they're looking for and a little less nerves probably. You always get a younger one saying hey coach are these guys good? Well you know there's 8 left and now there's four left, and if you get this far, everybody's good. So they know it's not just another soccer match, everbody's playing their best soccer now."

The coach says hosting the match is a very big edge indeed. He says the Choctaw crowd has been big at all three playoff matches so far, and he expects it will be again Friday night. A win over Land O' Lakes puts them back into the Championship match in Tampa next week.
