Indians dealing with injury bug.

Fort Walton Beach, FL--To prep football now and a huge district matchup Thursday night between the Choctaw Indians and Mosley Dolphins. It's the kind of game that should have a playoff type atmosphere because so much is on the line, and oh by the way it's homecoming for Mosley. All that is why this is our Southern Orthopedic Specialists game of the week. Let's focus on the Big Green Indian here. Coach Thomas' team 4-2 overall, more importantly 2-1 in 6A district two play. They lost to Niceville 14-13 a few weeks ago, but have rebounded with wins over Navarre and Crestview the last two weeks. A win Thursday night puts them in very good position in terms of a playoff berth, but Thomas certainly isn't expecting an easy one against the 'fins.

Greg Thomas
Choctaw. Head Coach

"We have a few key players that are injured that are gonna be outand then on top of that we got some new people that are gonna be in their spots. And you know when you go against their offense it's all about playing mistake free defense. And you never get the look against a wing tee team in practice like they're gonna see tomorrow night, so it's scary."

Thomas says the key injuries are #7 safety Terrance Bryant and #4 linebacker Max Keefe, both senior leaders. Keefe's injury a dislocated shoulder. Thomas says both want to play, and will be game time decisions, but he's not optimistic either will play. Kickoff Thursday night set for 7.
