It looks like Arnold is going to have to play the first few weeks of the season without star Eddie Williams who apparently suffered a shoulder injury last Thursday.

Panama City Beach, FL-- We start tonight with some high school football as most area high school teams look ahead to the start of the regular season. Most teams will play their openers Friday, but a pair of local squads, Arnold and Mosley, will host games Thursday. Let's talk about the Marlins and their first game Thursday night against visiting Pace. The fish head into that one on the heels of a preseason loss last Thursday at Choctaw.
Adding injury to insult, literally, Arnold losing one of their top athletes, Eddie Williams to an apparant seperated shoulder.

James Hale
Arnold Head Coach

"He landed kind of funny and somebody landed on top of him. So he's gonna be out. We're hoping we'll get him back for at least for the Gulf Breeze game, that's our first district ballgame, and those are the games that we have to win if we're gonna get in the state playoffs. So hopefully we'll get him back for that game. He won't be in for this week. He's at the doctors right now and hopefully we'll get some pretty good news later today, but we don't expect to have him for two or three weeks."

Hale intending to start Williams at qb., in his abscence he'll go with junior Hayden Deforge. Hale will talk more about that tonight at ten. Tomorrow we'll visit the Mosley camp, as the 'fins get set for their Thursday opener against Wakulla. tomorrow night.
