Jackson Wins State Diving Gold, Mosley Swimmers Do Too

Orlando, FL---It's a first in the pool for Bay County, as Rutherford's Chris Jackson has won the 2A one meter diving state championship. That down at the YMCA Aqautic Center in Orlando today. The video attached shows pictures of Chris getting his gold medal.

He's the first from a Bay County swim program to win this title.

Chris racking up 447 points with his dives, some 8 points ahead of the second place diver James Voisard out of Winter Haven.

Chris, a senior, hoping to parlay this success into a college scholarship and he dreams of an Olympic berth.

Meanwhile the Mosley boys team winds up with a second place finish overall, 70 points behind Belen a privat school out of Miami.

The 'fins did take three titles, the 200 Medley Relay team of Michael Whitehead, Michael Duderstadt, Jonathan Ratliff and Casey Pridgen wins that title for the third straight year, Duderstadt also takes the title in the 200 Individual Medley, and the 100 Breaststroke.
