Panama City Beach, FL---Serious Seminole pride was certainly on display in Panama City Beach Friday night.
The Panama City Seminole Club hosted a gathering with none other than FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher as the guest of honor.
All this going down at one of the ballrooms at Bay Point's Wyndham Resort.
The coach landing late Friday afternoon, then zipping over to the resort to begin touching base with local boosters.
He signed some autographs, posed for pictures, was able to grab a quick meal and then with more than 330 local fans hanging on every word, coach Fisher took the stage with the voice of the Seminoles, Gene Deckerhoff acting as emcee. They talked about the undefeated championship season, recruiting, how spring ball went.
And before it all began, we had the chance to chat with Jimbo, and asked him about the enthusiasm level surrounding his program right now.
"Well I think the fans are very excited," coach Fisher told us "because you get to celebrate for a whole year. You've got that joy, you've got that title, they can't ever take that away from you. And our players, it gives great confidence. It gives great confidence to our boosters. It gives great confidence that our program is going in the right direction. We feel like we have the chance to have some good teams for the future also, so everybody's very happy where we're at and what we're doing.
It has to make evenings like tonight rather enjoyable for you."
No doubt, there's no doubt. It's usually positive situations, positive questions. Everybody's got a good feeling about Florida State. But we also know we have a lot of work to do because we have another upcoming season."
Greg Brzozowski will have a lot more with coach Fisher over the weekend, watch for that.
