Jimbo talks about how he's looking for more consistency from what should be an experienced and potent Florida State defense this season.

Tallahassee, FL--On to college ball and let's talk about the Florida State defense. To say the least it was An inconsistent unit in 20-10.
In games one-three and four, just 16 points total surrended. Game two against Oklahoma, 47 points given up.
In games 5-6-and 7, 19 points or less per, then the dee hit for 28 and 37 points in the losses to N.C. State and North Carolina.

Jimbo Fisher
FSU Head Coach

"Be consistent, again I keep going back to that word. Greatness is the consistency in performance over a long period of time. And I think if you wanna be the kind of team that we want to be, you have to say this is what we're getting week in and week out. In how they're preparing for the game and how they play the game. Last year they were a great red zone team. They played great tight zone defense. We gotta get off the field on third down play a little better, create a few more turnovers. But from that standpoint, the experience standpoint and talent standpoint, they're pretty good and we got a lot of depth over there in a lot of positions."

Especially on the dee line. In all, 8 starters return on defense, led by Bradham, Jenkins, and Reid. FSU opens a week from Saturday at home against La. Tech.
