John Brantley talks about getting used to Charlie Weis' offensive system and how he and other offensive players are eager to prove then can master it this season.

Gainesville, FL-- On to Gainesville and the big reason why expectations, relatively speaking, are rather low concerning the Gators heading into this season. A big reason why, the quarterback situation. Senior John Brantley coming off a terrible season where he did almost nothing right. The good thing for Brantley, Will Muschamp brought in Charlie Weis to run a pro style offense, and it's hoped that will suit Brantley's skill set much better than Urban Meyer's "zone-read" spread attack.

John Brantley
Florida Quarterback

"That new offense in Spring was kind of like a challenge to us. A new challenge that we had to face and we all took it on. And we're excited about it and now we got into a little deeper into it, we know it better. We're more excited about getting it going again. Summer's over and we're excited to finally get back on the field and play football."

Brantley just 2 thousand yards passing with 9 td's and ten interceptions last season. He must be dramatically better if Florida's to have a big season.
