Karsten Whitson continues pitching well for the top ranked Florida Gators baseball team.

Gainesville, FL--To dee one ball and so far so good for Chipley alum Karsten Whitson. Whitson making his 3rd start for the Florida Gators yesterday, going 5 and a third against the Miami Hurricanes, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, he struck out four. Whitson didn't get a decision, but the Gators did get a 5-3 win and their first home three game sweep of Miami....ever! Whitson's now 2 and oh with a 1.76 earned run average. Florida, the top ranked team in the land, now 10-1, their one loss coming at the hands of the Seminoles last Tuesday, 5-3 that final in a game in Tampa.
