Lynn Haven, FL--Kurt Busch's departure from Phoenix Racing will come before 2013.
A few days ago Busch struck a deal to move from the Phoenix Racing Chevrolet to the 78 Furniture Row Chevy where he will be displacing Regan Smith.
Thursday Phoenix owner James Finch confirming Busch will be out after next week's race at Talladega.
Finch saying they raced well at the first race at Talladega, and in fact had a shot at a win there until late, and so they'll give it another shot with Busch at the wheel, and after that race Kurt will be gone.
As for who will take the wheel for Phoenix, Finch has spoken to reps for AJ Allmendinger, who was suspended for amphetamines in early 7.
He's since completed NASCAR's Recovery program and was reinstated on September 18th.
Regan Smith could be another possibility, since he's out when Busch hops in the 78 car.
