Panama City Beach, FL --- Mosley took to the pitch at Gavlak Thursday night for the start of the FHSAA Girl's soccer state playoffs.
The Lady Dolphins earned their home playoff opener after claiming their district title this past Friday with that thrilling 3-2 win over Arnold.
For their regional quarterfinal matchup, they welcomed in Gulf Breeze on the Arnold campus, where they won the district title in front of a good crowd despite the chilly weather.
In the highlights attached above, the Dolphins of Gulf Breeze able to notch the first two goals in this one, both coming from striker Alyssa Pejic, who centers the ball in front, then fires, Mariah Rhinehart gets her hands on it, but can't save it, 1-0 Gulf Breeze.
Ten minutes later, the 38 minute mark, Pejic again with a breakaway, pure speed, and she beats Rhinehart with the shot, it goes to the half 2-0.
Second half, the Dolphins of Mosley come out smoking, two minutes into play, corner kick for Mullins, ball in front and Lindsey Tew with the left footer, makes it a 2-1 match.
Just two minutes later, 44 minute mark, after a foul in the box, Taylor Hallman with the penalty kick, ties it.
Both teams had multiple chances to take the lead after, but the deciding goal would come in the 75th minute off a corner kick which forced an own goal, though Hallman was close to it.
Mosley wins 3-2, as they advance to the region semifinals. The Lady Dolphins will now travel to West Florida for the Regional Semifinals after the Lady Jaguars defeated Arnold 2-1, ending the Lady Marlins season.
