Panama City Beach, FL---Niceville and Arnold are both tuning up for the district tournaments that begin next week, and they did so Thursday night with a match at Gavlak.

The Lady Eagles coming away with a 3-2 win. Both teams putting up two first half goals, Niceville would score the lone goal of the second half off a corner kick, Eli Craft scoring that goal which turned out to be the game winner.

Both teams will head into district action next week as top seeds in their respective leagues. Niceville will play in the 5A-1 tournament at Navarre.

Choctaw. is hosting the 3A-2 tournament, though Arnold will actually open play in that tourney Tuesday by hosting Rutherford at Gavlak.

The attached video shows the following:

Pick this one up early second half, tied at two, the Lady Eagles taking several shots at breaking the tie, but several times Arnold keeper Alexis Tanner would deny those shots....first she turns away Alexis Craft. Then she hauls in the corner kick in traffic. A bit later Craft denied again, point blank.

Eventually though Craft would break through, the corner kick from Miranda O'neil, Kaitlyn Brown with the header back to the middle and Craft kicks it home.

Arnold, playing without star striker Kelli Crowley who sat out with an injury, did get close to the tying goal but Mckenzie Ward there to stop Autumn Jaworski's shot.
