Niceville, FL---The Chipola women's basketball team now has a two game lead with just four to play. The Lady Indians getting to that point with a win Wednesday night at Northwest Florida, 53-52.
The two teams battled back and forth, with Chipola eventually stretching out to as much as a 12 point second half lead. A 14-3 run in the final six minutes though helped the Lady Raiders whittle that lead to just one at 53-52.
In the final seconds, Janae Blount took a three point shot to try and tie the game, that rimmed in and out. Her teammate Tyshara Fleming instinctively rebounded and put it back it in, making it a one point game, but leaving just 7-tenths of a second on the clock.
Chipola able to run out that time and get the one point victory.
The Lady Indians now 24-1, 8-0 in Panhandle play. That gives them that 2 game lead over second place Northwest, which falls to 6-2 in conference, 19-4 overall.
Chipola has won 13 in a row, their only loss coming back in December, a 58-55 loss to St. Petersburg.

-Then on the break, it's pushed ahead to Tiffany Lewis, and she knocks three more, Chipola building a 12 point lead.
-Lady Raiders rally, #10 is Takisha Jordan she gets the runner off the glass.
-Eventually it's a 3 point game, final seconds, Jenae Blount fires up the trey from the corner for the tie, in and out, Tyshara Fleming instinctively puts it back, but just point-7 seconds remain. It ends 53-52 Chipola.
