Lady Marlins Go 2-2 in Florida-Alabama Softball Challenge

Panama City Beach, FL---Saturday morning and afternoon, day two of the Florida-Alabama Softball Challenge was held, as many local teams were in the field. 22 teams from the two states hit the diamond for four games over a span of Friday and Saturday.

Many of the teams in the field were locals including the Arnold Lady Marlins, who were facing Leon out of Tallahassee in their final game of the classic.

The following is from the highlights attached above. Top 2, Lady Lions up 1-0. Yet Emily Sowell catch fire on the mound for Arnold. Sends the first batter down on strikes. Next up, Sowell gets her swinging. Then, right after, caught looking. Sowell strikes out the side to end the frame.

Bottom half of the second, Lady Marlins help her out with some run support.

Bases loaded when Sarah Robertson drives one to right. That'll drop and score a pair to give Arnold the lead.

But that's all they'd muster at the plate as Leon comes back to take it 7-2. Arnold goes 2-2 in the Challenge.
