Lady Commodores Set for Challenging 72 Hours

Panama City, FL--It is going to be a rather interesting 72 hours ahead for the Gulf Coast womens basketball team. Coming off a break of about two and a half weeks, the Lady Commodores are about to get plenty of work, they play three games over the next three days, two of them on the road in Gainesville starting Thursday. Roonie Scovel believes it's going to be a good challenge for her girls.

"We go down and we're gonna play two games. We play Daytona State tomorrow and then we're gonna play Santa Fe and that's the team that gave us our one loss so far. And then we come home and we're gonna play Central Florida. So this is gonna be a pretty tough road trip and then turn around, get home late Friday night and play a one o'clock game on Saturday. Hopefully this little road trip will be a nice little finishing touch for getting us ready for Panhandle play."

The Lady Commodores 10-1 so far. After the home game Saturday, they'll get another break of sorts before the conference opener January 7th at Northwest Florida State.
